SARASANI was in the first half of this century one of the biggest BIG CIRCUS from Germany and they traveled allover Europe giving their shows to the people. In Utrecht they rented a big cellar next to the canal. After the circus stopt their business they left the big bill boards behind, to be discovered by a businessman who bought the place and wanted to make the first coffeeshop. So he decided to call the coffeshop "SARASANI" and the name has never been changed ever since. They have kept the oldschool way alive, meaning that the people can still chill out, kick back and relax a little. Unload your mind and take your time. Many coffeeshops don't like it too much. This is not the case at SARASANI's. Peeps can chill out and relax in front of a big TV screen and enjoy concerts from oldschool stars and newschool stars. Just lay back in the sofa's and enjoy the music. If you are in need of mind therapy, at the front is a terrarium with turtles and fish. You can tell all your problems to Dr. Turtle and he will relax your mind...
